BernzOmatic Torch/Weld Kit.

Just brazed my oil pan the other day. My oxyacetlyene torch is on the other side of the country right now so I bought a MAPP/oxy torch for the job. What a waste, had a much harder time brazing than I did with the real torch. And I think it was already mentioned, but those oxygen bottles burn quick. Usually in about one brazing rod. And that was with a carburizing flame.

Dang it. Wish I had been smart enough to come here and search before I dropped my cash on one of these. Had a couple short cuts to make on pretty thin metal sheet metal. All I can say is what a waste of time and money.
Granted, it's worked pretty well to heat up rusted bolts, but that's about all it's been good for. But there's a lot cheaper options for that than this turned out to be.

A plunbers MC tank or B tank can silfloss with a good 15% harris rod and a large tip. As far as cutting pipe a Saw-zall or portaband at the local pawn shop might be ideal. The oxy acet rigs will do both however. I prefer the torch for anything 3 in and up as far as cutting goes a saw or pipe cutter for smaller. You have lots of options none of which is the Mapp/propane torch these are not real cost efficient. Just my .02.
