Stock exhaust size

I want to remove the stock muffler from my wife's F150. 5.4L FX4 thinking about the new flowmaster Hushpower muffler as a replacement. Any idea what size the pipe is. Thanks

sorry, not much help on that. but have you heard any good things about the hushpower. i want something louder for my 04 fx4 but not sure what to get. i saw the hushpower but never heard it or know anyone who has it. thanks.

My 04 Lariat had 2.5 inch stock exhaust pipes.Good Luck!

I think the OD of the 2004 Lariat is 2.75, I had to use a mallet to drive on a 2.75 SS exhaust tip onto my lariat.

The 2.75" OD is only at the last 12" or so of the tailpipe. It bells very slightly. The rest of the system is 2.5" OD.

Thanks. 2 1/2 it is. I have not herd the Hushpower yet. I put flowmasters on my mustang. model 40, or series?? They sound great so long as your not in the car doing the driving. very rattley/ cheep sounding in the car. This one would be so far behind the cab that if it did resonate, hopefully it won't be too bad in the truck.
