for the 6.9,i.e do they make .010 over pistons and rings or do you have to go .030,also my glow plugs show 0 ohms,i.e open.I would guess that there all bad,there painted grey so there originals,its an 84 f-350,waynebo O yea are these roller tappet cammed motors,i would think as all the larger diesel i ever built were.
With a 6.9 you can bore it out to a 7.3 and use 7.3 pistons.
With a 7.3 when you bore it you sleeve the cylinder back to a 7.3 standard piston.
Open circuit on the glow plug means it is burnt up.
Good glow plugs have about 1.5 ohms resistance on a good digital meter. Most analog meters will just show a dead short on good plugs.
