Purchased a Overhead Console for my truck, but can't seem to find a diagram to let me know how it should be wired up. I have the one with Temp/Clock/Compass only. Also, If anybody has the female side of the plug, I need one for it also.
Sorry I can't answer your question, but I may be in the market for one also. I'm assuming you bought for a 2004? Do you have an XLT or Lariat, and where and how much did you pay if you don't mind me asking?
fiero...is this an aftermarket accessory?? I don't believe Ford has anything pre-wired in the overhead, unless you got the DVD package.
Temp sensor is behind the grill (centered), compass flux valve at the mirror, and the clock in the audio head unit. How do you plan to tie all this together?
Of course, the temp and compass are displayed in the msg center. The temp input at the instrument cluster is light blue w/ orange stripe wire (pos signal) and dark green wire (neg signal). The input from the flux valve is a twisted pair of white/orange (pos) and white/black (neg) wires. I imagine the clock you have just needs pwr and gnd.
Good luck getting all that to the overhead!! I'm curious to see how you make out!
Thanks Guys, Yep guess I should have mentioned that the console is a stock model out of a F150. I had one just like it in my 2002 F150 and bought this one on e-bay to install in my 2004 F250. My manual shows the multi-talented console for the F250 that includes Fuel MPG/Trip od and all srts of other crap. Was looking to find how to wire this one up, knowing I'll need to purchase the needed sensors....
