really hard to tell what went on with the drive shaft from the picture posted. What have they said about how it broke so far?
sorry about the bad pic the one cap and ring are still there and the other is gone the said
1. axle wrap
2. over flex (to much angle )
3. hit something
as i said before i was only moving the truck from the back yard to the garage ( it was snowy so i had it in 4x4 ) really only moved the truck at most 100yards with out getting on it . I never heard any banging or anything till it seperated at the slip joint so even with those 3 things they said i know it wasn't # 2or 3 and axle wrap at maybe 5mph steady ? dont know but seems to me the snap ring came out and puhsed the cap out and then it came apart at the slip joint
Any thoughts or ideas on anything else let me know.
axle wrap? are you not running radius arms? That about elminates axle wrap.
I think they screwed up on building the shaft. You dropped $2k on it. First time out with pizza cutters and 5.13 axle ratios you blow up the shaft. just think what it is going to be like with 44's and a heavy foot when you get into it.

yeah so now what should i do any recomendations or ideas ?
I think you either had junk in the C-clip groove or you just didn't get the clip in properly when you put it together (or if they put that all together they screwed it up). There's no way that clip should have fallen out, allowing the cap to come out. Did it enlongate the yoke at all or did the U-joint just fall out?
i dont even see how you would have spit out a cap in a situation like that without a c-clip in there.....you said you were just putting around with pizza cutters....i mean wtf

well they were the ones that assembled it , from what i can see all it did was the cap slid out and the joint came apart dont seem like it hurt anything else other than the other cap from banging around .I got the new u-joint and will be trying it again on the weekend
