turning AC into air compressor
Has anyone done this before? I don't use the ac in my 87, i'd rather take the top off. This seems much more useful. The only thing I would change is the wiring to ac cluch. I'd put in a pressure relay to turn off, and a check valve to keep air in.

i did it once on a chevy van -- the compressor didnt make a whole lot of pressure so i got a valve that would let 3 lbs ( i think) through and would hold back 150 lbs (i think its been awhile) with a pop off valve on the tank. also had another truck that just had afitting on compressor to hook air line to and a switch to turn it on when needed
