Electrical Problems on 1990 Supercab

I am fixing up a 1990 F-150 Supercab for my son. We recently installed an after market AM/FM/CD player along with a power amp. The new sytem was installed using the wiring from the old stock stereo. For the constant hot wire on the stereo I ran a wire to the fuse panel. For the amp I ran wires to both the positive and neagative post on the battery. For some reason now my power windows and windshield wipers will work without the use of the key. Is there a short or are my wires crossed?

What did you hook the wire to in the fuse panel?

Take the constant hot wire off that you added for the stereo, and see if your window problem goes away.

You should not have needed to run a seperate wire for the constant hot, the factory radio should have had a constant hot wire already up there behind the radio.

Thanks for ya'lls imput. I eliminated the constant hot to the fuse panel and re-wired the stereo. eliminating the constant hot to the fuse panel fixed the power window problem. But i still have a short somewhere. I keep blowing fuses that concern the radio and the parking/running lights. Any thoughts? Thanks from Mississippi

If it only started blowing fuses after you installed the stereo, I would double check your wiring again.
