Just wondering if anyone knows without switching the frame how much it would cost and what would i have to do to convert to 4x4. I definatly want to do it if it can be done i am gonna do this along about the time i switch to a manual transmission. so if you guys could asist me i would greatly appreciate it. again the truck is a 1974 f250 supercab.

Can you weld? I used F150 parts because I like the coil spring ride. The best would be to get a donor truck. You will have the parts you need, and can make notes as to the dimensions. If you like the leaf springs, they are probably easier to attach to the frame. Either way, you will have to notch the engine crossmember to clear the diff unless you run a 12" lift. The steering box is different, and the brakelines will have to be rerun. If you do the F150 axle on a 250, like I did, then you have the additional cost of the 8 lug hubs. Good luck, and if you are paying someone, it will probably cost more than it is worth.

may just leave it a 4x2 but i really do want a manual transmission in the truck which shouldn't be a problem.
