According to my local dealer, as well as a recent post here by a dealer...this is the final year of production. I suppose things "could" change, but I'd not bet on it. The post here listed the last order date, etc.
A few other thoughts. All that was changed for '05 was the front end. The suspension, engines, etc are all the same as '04. The Excursion (for better or worse) did not get the upgrades that the '05 Super Duty got. All Exs now get a black dash face and steering wheel too. (Another way to streamline the parts list) The fact that a stretched Expedition is in the works only solidifies the
arguement that the Excursion is in it's last year.
I'm glad I got my '05, especially with what is in my opinion the new bad a** front end.
Finally, both the brochure and dealer order book list the 18" wheels, but again, according to my dealer and a post here by another dealer....Ford has decided NOT TO OFFER the 18" wheels on the Ex. You'd have to order them as parts and install.
