got a stiff neck from trying to find the test connector under the dash on drivers side of my f250 4wd 1997, were did they hide it ???? got a check engine light comming on and here i sit with my code reader and cant for the life of me find the connection to read it
Ford has a habit of putting a cover over top of the OBDII connectors, particularly on older trucks. It'll be a square plastic piece with something like DIAGNOSTICS etched into it.
If it's the same as a buddy's 1996 Bronco, it's on the passenger side under the glovebox near the center of the vehicle inside.
I don't know if the big trucks (as in F250 and Up) had OBDII in those days. If it does not have the OBDII, the connector will be atop the driver's side fender under the hood.
