I have a water leak into the passenger side cab of my 78 f250 when it rains. I do not believe it is coming from the windshield seal. Any ideas about where to look will be appreciated.
I have rust through in the bottom of my cowl. It leaks very small amounts when rains. There is also a grommet in the cowl where the radio antenna goes through it may be leaking....
I had the same problem with mine on the drivers side. It looked to be coming in from the bottom corner as the dash was wet in that area. I put some windshield sealer around the outside where I thought it was coming in. No luck.
FWIW: What I found out was the water was coming in from the top corner and running down the inside of the cab post. It came out on the dash and then found it's way to the floor behind the kick panel. There was a small gap in the seal behind the chrome trim at the top of the windshield that wasn't easily seen unless getting up there and looking. A little dab of sealer did the trick. Good luck.
The rubber seal around the drivers door on my Crew Cab is dead, when it rains I get water coming in through there and pooling on the floor, you can follow the path from the windshield post to the floor
well, if its only when it rains then that doesnt totally exclude the core support, but it does a pretty good job of it. make sure you dont have this leak when you put the heater on. if it coincides with the heater bein on, then its your heater core
