Ranger build date question
I couldn't think of a better thread title but here's my question:
I was looking on the door sticker of my Ranger today and it says it had a build date of 05/98. Does that make it a 1998 or 1999? Thanks!
P.S. Is there a link on FTE that gives the build date range for the model years??

It could be either one. You need to look at the VIN to see. May and June are typically the change over months for model years. In May, a plant will often run both model years, but the 99's would not be released to dealers until just before model introduction. You either have one of the last 98's or the first 99's. What is your VIN?
