Has anyone heard of a shift kit for the e40d that splits the gears.
When I am hauling and my foot is in it. my tranny seems to split between 1st & 2nd 2nd & 3rd then shifts into 4th. It's not the torque conv. slipping because it is very firm with the splits.
I do not see any additional electrical connections on the tranny or a geardrive sort of thing bolted on the back. The tranny was just rebuilt before I got the truck. no more info than that.

I heard that ATS has something that is adjustable, but I doubt that it splits gears. Can you find out where it was rebuilt and ask them? There might be something wrong with it. You could also try posting in the transmission forum. Good luck with it.
I could be wrong, but I think that some of these transmissions will shift gears, then lock the tq converter, the unlock and shift up, then lock, then unlock and shift up, then lock etc......which might feel like splitting???
