I have a 97 F-150 4.2 5-speed manual. The truck was assembled in 96 with the original battery. I consider that battery to be the best one I think I have ever had! How has everyone elses done? Oh yeah, that`s at 103,000 miles! and still strong!
last month i just got rid of the original battery in my 1997 F150. the truck was purchased in november of 1996 and when i got rid of it the thing was still starting the truck. it was kinf of slow on cold morings is the reason i got rid of it, but hey it was still doin good.
My 2000 f150's battery I had to replace in Dec. 2002 due to dead cell so it can happen with any brand. Replaced it with a Delco (free couldn't turn it down) and it leaks more than the truck burn oil.
my family has owned probly about 30 new ford vehicles and we have never had a problem with the batteries. for a long time my grandfather traded trucks every year and we really never had any probs.
We also own a 02 trailblazer, haven`t had a problem with it .lol...other than recalls. Wife has put over 60,000 miles on it so far. What do you think about the hole through the oil pans on the blazers Smaug?
