Russ

I'll have to measure. Are the studs that big? I thought they were 3/8 or smaller. I'm using the Edelbrock reccomended stud kit.

Rocker stand studs measure .368", I figure that's close enough to 3/8", the stand width is .675" (figure that's about 11/16")

No, those are teh easy part. I still have to replace the stands, which I have not even shipped to Erson yet.

I'm still half way considering an ebay parts festival...this damned old truck has more monthly payment than a new truck...

Dont let it get the best of ya greg, this kind of thing builds character.

The offer still stands, trade ya for a good running, non-leaking 360!

Trade engines plus $5k cash to me, you install the 360 in my truck, and I'll throw in the misses. She's a looker with a 6 figure income.

Hey that sounds good, but the $5000 is a problem. Cant get blood from a turnip, or a computer guy (myself). Otherwise I'd go for it. I'd haul it, install it, tune it, and even throw in a full tank of gas!

Might take me a month to rebuild it though.

Notice that he never even mentioned the Missus. Engines are expensive enough by themselves!

Bingo! I figured I could weasel out of the $5000 if he kept the missus.

Seriously though greg, I would offer to drive down and help if you pay for the gas / expenses.

well ,I've gone so far as to pull the head (gasket backwrds as mentioned in another thread). I guess I'll be trying to fix this thing once again.

Ya missed a good offer on the misses. She's Superwoman meets the girl next door. But, she don't cook or clean. And she works to darn much.

I wonder what it's gonna cost for that head/intake work? probably about $1200...why, why, why..am I like this?

Well, I figured that I'd check back in on FTE after a hiatus, and Greg, you don't disappoint. Page 1 of the FE forum... Sorry to hear about the engine, again, but it doesn't sound so serious this time. Just don't ever, ever, add up your receipts or let your wife see them.

Well, I'm back from New Orleans. I ate and drank too much, but we had fun. We went to Harrahs casino last night to kill some time. We didnt stay longm but that's for a goood reson. On teh second hand of 3 card poker, I got 3 jacks...I had bet $15 ante and $15 to get a pair or better. ANyway, 3 of a kind pays 30-1 on the pair or better bet....so, I got about $550 total payout on that hand :-) I promptly took my chips and left!

Anyway, I'm back at home now, with a little extra play money in the bank. I got a quote from KC for the head work etc...It will be around $1300 for the full meal deal. We'll see, I' still undecided.
