I know this isn't the answer that you were looking for, but get a tape measure and take measurements. It should be easy to tell.

You might be surprized what a tape measure will tell you about Ford trucks.

Thow shall not pee on the moderators shoes! I got connections around here. I know where the key to the junkyard dog pen is, an when da bossman aint there.

First of all, I didn't know the answer to the question, but felt I had an answer to the question, GOT IT. I have found out a lot of things about our beloved trucks with my tape measure.

A little kissing up is in order here.

Sure it'll work. Well it will if a 73-79 will. I have a 77 t'gate on my 81. Its the same box. But I'd still measure if I were you just to make sure.

The body lines are slightly different. I got a tailgate I thought was for a 67/72 and it was for a 73/79, it will fit but has the wrong body contour.
