peterson's offroad mag
hey guys i know a while ago you all were complaining about peterson's mag and how much you didnt like it. i personally like it alot. but thats not the point. the point is that they have put up a survey on their website asking us what we want out of the mag. so im thinking that if we can all get the word out we'd be able to possibly cause some changes. they ask what type of articles we want to see, which is of course tech! as well as what type of offroading we want to see. one of my favorite questions asked what your favorite truck was and even though ive never seen it in person, my favorite would have to be pro's! yeah, well everybody hop on their website www.4wheeloffroad.com and get the word out! maybe we can make a change for the better

Yeah i want to see more low buck builds, less "how to install your IFS lift" crap, it would be nice if they started to cover more mud and trail events with vehicles that your average joe can afford, it would be nice if they would show how to's on how to fab your own stuff.
Hopefully something can come of this.

Peterson's--Good low-buck articles, good tech, good overall, too many Jeeps/buggys
Four Wheeler-More full-sizes, good feature trucks, funny editors
Off Road--lots of bling, dubbs, sema trucks, an occational good tech article, but too many baja trucks (who cares about them?)
Bring back Fullsize 4x4!!!!!

the only way they get back in my mailbox is when they get rid of that pesky biased attitude towards chevy and jeep. if oyu notice 90% of the articles they do are towards jeep and chevy.
also be careful when you say tech b/c to a lot of ppl putting another damn lift kit on a toyota tacoma is very tech oriented. i don't necessarily wanna se low buck ways to do things (although cheaper is always good) i am sick of seing them go out and buy parts that the average Joe with a wife and kids would not in his right mind blow his money on.... an Atlas case for example. sure they are pretty and have a nice low range but they are crazy expensive and not strong at all when compared!
they need to sit down and take some notes from Billavista! HE'S the MAN!

I agree, except that I pick up the good ones (when they do come around)...
I think that they should cover some of the trail rides every now and then. Even now, limiting it to one trail ride write up per issue would be asking a lot, as they like to show the eleventy-millin that they have been on in the last four hours...ok, like 6 hours.
