I have reciently lost the clear bubble cover to my passenger side license plate light on my 96 Bronco. The lights are in the rear bumper and are round black plastic. The light still works for now but in a minnesota winter it is only a matter of time before the salt and snow take its toll. I have been looking for a replacement housing but have not been able to find one. Any ideas besides a boneyard?
I have seen replacements in several auto parts stores in the Help! section. Wal-Mart also sells a suitable replacement. Some drilling may be required on some of them but it beats getting a ticket. Hate to give cops even the slightest excuse to pull me over.
Just wanted to drop an update on this. I had a revolation while leaving the grocery store. The vending machines that you all frequented as a kid that have a prize in a plastic bubble fixed my problem. They are the same diameter as the inside of the light housing. I cut one down and for .25 (.50 really, the first time took my quarter) cents have a working license plate light. Thanks for all the help.

LMAO! Nice job! Just watch the "lens" tho. Plastic not as thick as actual lens from manufacturer. Could heat up and start browning over. Then its another 25 pennies....unless you use the same machine again then it could be 50 cents.
LOL Break down in CO and we prolly wouldn't be the only 2 responding. But I would have to bring out my faithfull F150. The old Bronco is in for a full face lift and right now is nothing more than a frame, engine and tranny riding on 14 inch shop wheels.
