I would think with more power you would better off in second gear, first comes and goes fast with just a stock truck, I would think with 100 more horse power you could just go second and get a little faster time, you would have a lot more boost taking off anyways, anyone ever do this?
No matter what gear you are in at a dead stop foot on brake, you will see the same boost. Gear selection will have no affect on t/c stall. If using an auto. always use first the harder you can lauch and get moving the better the 60ft. time will be.
My truck has been in 4x4 for very extended periods of time at both low and high speed, both straight and curvy roads. It has seen numerous passes across Jones
Gap at full throttle, in 4x4, with all 4 tires slipping through the curves. Have been to around 125 or so in 4x4, slowing into turns anywhere from 65-90 and full throttle through the back third of the corner. So far, no damage done, other than a hub that decided to grenade at launch once.
125MPH and 65-90mph through the turns???
Start making your list fellas. We are going to have a parts truck to pick through pretty soon.
