Cannot find IAT sending unit for simple mod.
The sensor is in the intake tunnel about 6 in from the MAF.
What kind of Modification are you planning on doing??
I sure hope that it's not one of those "ebay" chips that fool the computer into thinking that the incoming air is much colder. This is very bad for the motor and really screws up your mpg.
This was in the description of a recent auction:
"This mod will modify your stock ECU with a Zoom performance chip. This mod connects to the car's ECU by replacing the Intake Airflow Temperature (IAT) Sensor. Once the module is installed, the ECU will read that the air coming in through the intake is cold air; think of it as a "default" setting on the ECU. When the ECU reads this, it leans out the air/fuel mixture-in other words, it will take in more air, and then add more fuel to compensate for the extra air coming in, thus, producing more power and advancing timing 1 to 2 degrees."
I got confused on how you can lean out the A/F ratio and add more fuel at the same time????

You see, when you hook up the zoom chip, in addition to the zoom exhaust pump, that the motor takes in so much air that the condition is considered lean!
Seriously, all this chip does is lead to excessive fuel consumption, and increased cylinder wash (too much fuel). Techically it's not even a "chip", just a resistor that creates a voltage drop accross it.

Just want to help keep your ford running right!
Basically it causes the motor to run excessively rich. This can lead to increased fuel dilution in your oil (very bad), which in turn causes increased engine wear. This rich state (also known as a closed loop) can inturn burn up your catalytic converters and make you fail emmissions testing if you have it.
Here's just a tid bit from this site.

Webmaster (Ken) is a acutal chip and tuner dealer (the real deal). If you are after more power, I really recomend that you get a tuner or a diablo chip off of this site.
If you are looking for something a bit cheaper, you can buy it used off of ebay and have Ken reflash it so it will work with your vehicle.

I would put money on the fact the guy will continue to set-up new seller accounts once an old one starts getting too much negative feedback.
Most legitimate eBayers would want to keep the same account so they could build as much positive feedback as possible. Since he is doing the opposite, I think that tells you something about the product. Doesn't give much faith in the lifetime warrant either.
As someone mentioned earlier, if you truly want a chip for increased performance, spend the extra money now and go name brand. Otherwise I think you'll be spending more down the road on repairs.
As far as chips go....
The chip is tuned to your vehicle, they are not vehicle specfic for the most part.
I just sold a 3 stage diablo delta chip on ebay for $75...the same chip would cost $275 new.
You can often find chips on ebay for right around $50, and then send it to Ken for reflashing, which costs right around $40 + S+H. Check out the Computer chip fourm further down the page.
Check out these links....
Take look under the Performance Gains part, and for reflashing pricing.

This is probably the best way to contact Ken with your questions.
