windshield wipers won't turn off
The wipers on my '80 F150 won't turn off unless I balance the switch between off and low or low and high. My cousin, the previous owner, said he replaced the switch so I don't think that's the problem. I also don't think the motor is bad or they wouldn't run at all. I checked the schematic and I think it's the windshield wiper govenor. My question is: is the govenor part of the wiper motor assembely? I looked at one at the parts store and am pretty sure that it is but I'm trying to be a little more sure before pulling the cowl apart to do the swap.

Had the same thing happen to my '85 a few years ago. Thought like you that it had to be the switch, but a new switch did the same thing. Turned out to be the motor, replaced it and no more trouble. Not sure why, but it sure was the motor in my case. Good luck.
