AFAIK the correct setting is when a sheet of typewriter (printer paper for the young geeks! ) is held with friction between the weatherstripping and the frame but is still able to be pulled out without tearing. Now you have more info than you really wanted! LOL!!!

All of the above. After moving the striker plate in & out, up & down, I found the sweet spot. Now it fits great and closes like a charm.

Ah, the simplicity!
