I used to live over there. I lived in those Condos back behind the Apartments.. got my stereo stolen over there too. Now I live at about 121st and Memorial.
Since I have been listening to everyone talk, I think I have decided that it is better not to buy a low-end amplifier. I think I am going to try to save up and buy a higher end amp, something in the $200 range (if I can get the money saved up). I really appreciate all the help, because if I didn't get it I would have ended up buying something that I would have regretted (not enough power, not clear in sound, etc.) So once I get the rest of the money saved, it will be my first purchase, because right now it is my number one priority. It feels nice to have something like that as a number one priority, instead of something like spark plugs. Once i do buy one, I will def. let everyone know what I get.
Oh BTW, I lived in OK until about a year ago. OKC. Been to Tulsa many a time.
alright i'm going to let you in on a little of my own personal experiance. i work at circuit city and we've put in a a ton of type e subs. they are awesome for the money they can't be beat period. we also sell a wide range of amps. sony's, pioneers mtx and alpines, we've also had people bring us others to hook up to these too. everybody who got them put in like them, however we at the shop could tell a difference when it came to the amps they used. bridging a 4 ch will work, but its not the best. because the manufacturer doesn't typically use as big of power supply as it would in a class d amp, meaning you won't have as much juice on tap to supply to the subs. A class d will have a higher thd rating but as subwoofer frequency its unnoticeable. matching the two type e 10 (4ohm coils) to an alpine mrp m350 has yeilded the best results for the price. and circuit city is dropping the alpine line so they are rediculiously cheap if they are still in stock. the mrd m301 is the set up, similiar amplification circiutry, more flexible processing. also a screaming deal right now. one thing to note and i don't mean to knock any of the cheaper brands cause they do work. but they lie alot of times they'll claim an rms number they'll never reach. i always recomend getting a brand that gives you a birth certificate in the bohopefully rated at 12v not 14.4V but thats rare these days.) anyway look for either of those two amps. or an mtx thunder311d (i think, forgot the number of the top of my head but about 300w @ 2 ohms.) these should be in the $200 or less range if you hunt around. don't get extended warrenties the only people who need those are people who blatently abuse their stuff.
