A friend came over and asked if I had any idea what was happening with his truck. He lost his horn and cruise control. A wire for his daytime running lights started to burn a few days later. The fuse is still good. I heard about this clockspring failing but the daytime runing lights wouldn't be part of this circuit would it. The truck is a 1994 F150 XL 4x4
Any help is good help

A '94 F150 did not come with daytime running lights, so no one will know what has been done (ie - where they grabbed power, grounds...) but the installer. I wish they came with it, I could save 10% on my insurance if my 94 XLT had it :-(
If the clockspring were bad, the Airbag/Seatbelt light on the lower left side of the dash would be flashing a 3-2 code while driving. Btw- that light should turn on briefly when you turn the key to the run position (a bulb check feature)
The Canadian 94's had the factory Daytime running lights in them. I think from 1991 on they were a standard item.
About the clockspring, the owner of this truck is not too up on his mechanical abilities so I will check the code out for him.
i have the same problem with my 1994 f150 xl no cruise or horn, was told to replace clockspring cheapest i for is $115? thats alot to just try. any ideas
Is your airbag/seatbelt light flashing when you're driving?
obviously make sure the bulb isn't out first...
The flashing code will be 3 flashes, pause, 2 flashes; repeated over and over and over.
