ignition help

I have a 72 ford f100 Ranger XLT. How hard is it to replace the ignition switch in the steering column and the lock mechanism onthe doors? Thanks.

replacing the ignition switch is relatively quick and easy it one nut on the back a wire connecter. the locking cylinders on the doors are a little harder though when i did mine it took about 40 minutes a door but i have never done them before.

your ignition switch in the column didnt read that part sorry. then you need to remove the collar and to do that i beleive you need to remove the steering wheel also then it is all a mater of pulling the pin that the switch is hooked to for a return to the run postion and unhooking it. it will just take a little longer.
