Carb problems....
Gentlemen and some ladies,
I need help in setting my carb....this is my first build and my engine is running to lean....lots of black stuff coming from the pipes...I have an edelbrock 600 and need some tips on adjusting the carb....

Well, if you have a lot of black smoke/ soot coming from the pipes, then it is running too rich, not too lean. Unless the choke is not opening, then I would check the float level first. Sounds like one or both floats could be too high.
