door lock motors
you can use aftermarket motors and they are a lot cheaper then factory
i have them for $7 each with shipping and connectors....i also have pics of the motors installed.....i replace them on the fords all the time.....let me know if you need more info....

Here are the part numbers for the units I replaced on my 2001.
Left, 3L3Z25218A43-AA
Right, 3L3Z25218A42-AA
These are $30-40 each online and take about 2 hours to install.
Can't find the how-to yet.

I've got a 2000 also and ALL of my doors to include my rear hatch are bad!!!! What the heck? I've got an extended warranty with a hundred dollar deductable... I should probably let for do it, eh? I'm assuming this is a common problem? If so, you'd thing there would have been some type of a recall...
