How the heck do you remove the sliding door power lock actuator? I have the factory manuals, but there's an amazing lack of details. As a matter of fact, I don't even see the procedure for the slider, just the front doors and the rear door(s). Base on the other actuator removal procedures, I think I need to drill out two rivets but I ain't sure so I ain't ready to just start drilling yet. I have a '95. Anybody done this?
If you do have to drill out the actuator assy, replacing the rivets shouldn't be too bad. I think you can buy a nice Stanley pop-riveter w/ rivet kit for about $20, probably a lot less than the actuator itself. I'm mainly going off of memory, mine are manual but I do recall seeing pop rivets hold the assy to the frame.
