hey there Cleveland fans. this is my first visit to the engine sites, most of my activity is on the 56 f100 side. I am doing a sort of a period piece 56 that has a 351/aod etc etc. I am looking for a set of valve covers made by Cal Custom, they are rounded, look sort of like a big block c----, have fins from front to back and the only names are cal custom (surprise) cast on the inside of the cover. There are 2 styles, I believe one was made after cal custom was bought out, or whatever happened to them, I am looking for the earlier version. My engine is coming back from the machinist pretty soon, so time is kind of running out. I would really appreciate any kind of leads. Thanks a lot, fatfenders56

you were right the second time! easy way to spot (in case you didn't know) Cleveland covers have 8 bolts to the Windsor's 6. Thanks for keeping me in mind the guys on this site are truly amazing. By the way, they are similar to what I'm looking for, I'll see if I can post a picture
yah..i should have looked closer...i apologize..but keep an eye on ebay.yah never know when a set might pop up...swap meets are comming soon...good luck
I was mad when holley bought out M/T and the first order of business was to stop making the finned M/T aluminum valve covers for the 351/400. I always liked them. Good luck on your search.

Well, that explains what happened to those V-Covers. I wondered where they went. I ended up going with the tall covers from SVO. I think Milodon makes tall ones as well. However, if you are looking for the finned ones, I'm not sure where you would go for those. Good luck.
fatfenders56, If you don't win the auction let me know. After looking at the auction photo I remembered that I had a set. I went out to the garage and found my set. Kevin
