Any 4R100 upgrade?
Are there any upgrades that I can do to the 4r100 transmission to make it better? I have the superchips 1705 tuner , is there anything that I can add and still use the tuner?

No problem. you might want to check this out also. I don't think running the SCMT with it is a good idea though. Don't by-pass the system software. http://www.dieselsitetoo.com/index.a...ROD&ProdID=251

SMiller, I read your posts (modded my tranny) and (diablo power valve installed today) I wan't to add the diablo power valve and stiffer springs, But would like to know what size springs are needed (length,diameter of coil and wire diameter). I only have one vehicle atm and also live out in the sticks and might not be able to find springs locally. I would like to get everything before dropping the pan so I can do this once and be done with it.

I had the Diablo "firm" tranny valve installed on mine. It shifts crisper with less "slop", so hopefully that will extend the life of the tranny. Got it here at the parts shop. There are two valve's to chose from: firm and race. "Race" is pretty hard-core, I was told, so I avoided that based on my driving habits/needs. I am happy with the "firm" valve. It works fine under normal city driving conditions and equally as well under full throttle.

They are number 15 springs, they can be found in most hardware stores, they are like 3 1\2in. long and maybe a 1\2in. in dia. they fit perfectly! Cost less then $3, you might be able to order them online if you look around. This is much better then the sonnax set-up, much bigger valve and much stiffer springs, it doesn't shift to hard at all, just shifts like it should with no slop.
