Just back from a 2200 mile round trip. Solo, on flat highway with cruize control set at 80. Hand calculated at 14.8 mpg. Not overely thrilled about that mileage, but I don't buy em for the mpg's.
04 350 CC LB 3.73 auto 4x4 with cap and 10k miles on it. Just reflashed prior to the trip due to rough idle and smoke on cold start and just switched from Rotella to Mobile 1 Delvac.
Same trip, my 99,00 and 01 trucks would get about 18. My 97 cc lb 350 4x2 psd w/3.55 rear would get 21-22 mpg w/ 150k on it. Loved that truck.
Oh well, I still wouldn't trade my 6.0 for anything else on the market.
'03' reg cab l.b. 4x4 3.73 r.e. 5 auto. 15mpg@ 2.24 gal. ouch. but like 5moons said wouldn't trade it for any other brand out there love my truck. oops forgot
f250 average rpm 2500 or around 75 mph
I am trying to see if the people who are getting poor (comparatively) mpgs in the 6.0 are the people with auto trannies, 4.10s or greater, and drive fast...
I have a 04 F250 CC LB 4x4 6.0 auto 3.73 and drove 200 miles round trip 55-60 mph. I got 19.6 mpg. about 25 mile of this was in town. I was driving to get the best mpg I could get. Around home I get 16mpg empty. and as low as 11mpg towing 7500lbs on two lane roads in the mountains of S. W. Virginia.
03 6.0 cc 3.73 48,000 miles- Roadtrip 17.4-18.6 mpg although the best was 19.4 with temps of 110 (900 mile trip). Towing 11.5-13.0 w/7,400 lb load @ high elevation. Typical combined 15-16 mpg including studded snowtires and pulling Dudges out of the ditch or showing them who is quicker the 6.0 vs Cummins 600- The 6.0 Grin all the way!
F350 CC Dually 4X4 6.0L 4.10 gears and the 5 speed auto. The truck has 550 miles on it and on the first tank of fuel I got 13.9mpg. That's all I can say so far. Not bad as far as I'm concerned running with duals and 4X4. Hopefully it will get better from here and not worse

I know if I could drive 55-60 mph my mileage would go up substantially, but my time is worth more than a couple mpg's. 15-20 mph really adds up over a long haul.
Also, an absolute ***** to the wall round trip, accelerator on the floor the entire way, with a 10,000 pound trailer in tow from Cincinnati to the Smokies, very hilly, and I got 9.5. I was very happy with that mileage as well as the overall performance of the truck while towing 10k.
04 f350 crew cab auto 4X4 3.73 GEARS LONG BED,BEST i have ever got nothing but hwy empty 14.2 combined city and hwy. av 13.2,got 20 out of same truck with 7.3 on the hwy and 15 pulling trailer, get around 9.0 pulling trailer with 6.0. not impressed with the 6.0 it is faster then the 7.3 empty but it is about the same as my old 7.3 with a programer. but has had alot of little problems.
