I tried the zennor mod but did not fix my problem the check engine light still comes on at 80kmph and about 2000rpm then the engine seems to defuel. The engine did no do this until after i installed the 10k mod.My engine is a 94.5 7.3 psd i do no know what else to try,i know i could get my codes pulled but the only place around here would be the ford dealer and that would cost me a arm an a leg,any know what else i can try.
The boost is probably going over the limit, try to get either a Boost Revief valve (pop-off valve) or a boost regulator to limit what the MAP sensor sees.
my most recent chip came with a setup like that to fool the map sensor and it didnt work, i would still get an overboost "ses" light, so i took it out and put in a boost relief valve and its fine. i will still get the ses to flash at real high boost levels but its the EBPV sensor reading overpressure and it does not defuel the engine
At first I had my BRV (Boost Relief Valve) very close to the MAP sensor, but I was getting an SES light all the time (heavy foot), but would go off in a minute or two. Checking the codes did not bring up any. So I placed my boost gauge between the MAP sensor and the BRV, and I saw no more than 21 Lbs of Boost. What I did then was to redo the set up where I placed the BRV as close to the turbo as possible (see Gallery). I also lengthened the hose from the BRV to the MAP. There is 12 inches from the BRV to the MAP sensor. I was assuming that there was a spike just before the pop off valve actuated and at that point the SES light would go on. Since doing this, I have not had any more SES lights on due to over Boost conditions.
Right. It just about has to be an ICP code of some sort since that's the only thing that was altered, but for the ICP to take power at cruise it would have to low...like way low. I'm not sure that could be caused by a 10K, even if it wasn't installed correctly. I think the first thing jadel has to do is pull the resistor and see where he stands.
I used a mini air pressure regulator and set it to approx. 20psi. I, then, "fine tuned it" during my test run. No more SES, from overboost. I reach 30-35 psi under full throttle and no SES light.
