Hi,
my question today.
Where i have to connect the PCV ? I mean i have the 351w - 1992 - F250.
One hose is connected to the passanger side crankcase and the other hose to the Intake, ok, BUT there´s another connector at the valve.
Well now i´m confused.
Can anybody help me ?
I think you just have an aftermarket universal valve. Your truck probably only uses one of the outlets - there should be a plug supplied with the valve to seal off the extra hose barb.
I've never heard of the pcv connecting to evaporative emissions control...
I just bought a PCV valve at NAPA for my '93 F-250 5.8L. They gave me one with two connections, one large and one small. They said to plug the smaller one. The valve package contains a small plug to do this.
On a related topic, it has been recommended that I disconnect and plug the PCV port at the right rear of the intake and reconnect the PCV valve to the manifold tap where the other vac lines connect. This is to prevent problems with the #8 cyclinder. Is this correct?
I replaced my PCV and got the same double connector eventhough mine was a single. It comes with a little piece of plastic for plugging the extra hole. That's probably all you have to do (V8Andy). And midlf, I've seen this re-routing of the PCV talked about in this forum. Do a search on "plenum" and you should find what you're looking for. I thought it was for older trucks though. I guess the hot PCV gasses caused the #8 cylinder to overheat and valves would burn up or something.
