I have a 2003 f 250 that the front bumper was used for a mating call for a six point buck now i need to replace it does anyone know the steps to remove this thanks
It's very easy. Next to each tow hook there are 2 bolts. There is also 1 bolt in each wheel well. The procedure is as follows:
If you have the factory fog lamps, twist the socket and remove both bulbs. Unbolt and remove each bolt in the wheel wells, and then remove all 4 bolts next to the tow hooks--that's all there is to it. Have someone with you to catch the bumper, as it will just fall off of the truck after all 6 bolts are removed. There is a spacer behind the 2 bolts next to the tow hooks--save them for re-installation. Don't be surprised at how light the bumper is in weight--if it weighs 35 pounds, it's a lot.
Two bolts by each tow hook, and one bolt per side inside the wheel well where the bumper bracket bolts to the front spring hanger. Then you'll need to slide it out a bit to disconnect any foglights, block heater, etc... that you may have.
