Removing front bumper

I have to remove the front chrome bumper on my 2000 EX.and replace it do to corrosion. Any idea what is involved?

This is very easy to do. The 2000 didn't come with fog lights stock (in the openings). There are four bolts (two on each side). Take the top ones out completely (the nuts on the back are attached together), you won't need a wrench on the back side. Now it gets heavy, carefully take the bottm bolts out and lift the bumper away. I have done this myself but it is easier with help.

Taken the front bumper off the 99 F250 SD three times now, very easy. Just make sure you line it up when you put it back on.

Just to clarify, the bolts Toyman is referring to are on either side of the tow hooks.

If you are doing this by yourself, you'll want to wrap rags or something on the top corners of the bumper. It is inevitable that'll you'll scratch the paint either taking it off or reinstalling it.

Don't ask me how I know this...
