I don't really want headers for my 226 but I noticed that there is a dual carb intake manifold for the flat 6 on ebay today. No, I'm not the seller - I just thought it was interesting and unique. It would look good along with a set of headers. Item number: 7954264190
If I can not find any I am going to try and find someone local who can fabricate a set. Would any one else be interested in them?
If you are interested what would you condsider a fair price?
If I were to get a batch made would plain steel be ok then you put on the coating of your choice?
If I were to get them coated does anyone have any reccomendations?
Would you prefer a 6 equal length pipe setup or two 3's into a single pipe?
Hello Chris, in doing some reasearch, I have learned the best way to modify the exhaust and keep the intake manifold heat in place (needed for street) is to find a passenger car exhaust manifold 8HA. which has the outlet behind carb, the truck 7HA which has the outlet in front of the carb. Then have them split down the center and welded back together. Inliners International website has some good information on the 226.
I saw it take a look at the name of the high bidder. You didn't have to go and tell every one here about it.

Yeah I have heard of doing that also. Might have to find a 226 intake for a car and have that done. Maybe get them cut at a machine shop, then take them to a welding shop and get them put together. That is one of those things you almost want to have both pieces on the vehicle, spot weld. Then take them off and finish. Maybe an exhuast gasket would work as a template. Then get the surfaces machined to make sure they are flat and do not leak.
