I am the current owner of a FX4 150 CC and love it, but I want more. I want to step up to the 6.0 350 CC SRW. I am curious before I really start to shop as to what you guys paid for a similar truck. I am looking at going with the XLT FX4 package.
I paid about 10% more than MSRP.. for an F250xlt, 6.0, 6spd, 4x4, FX4 long bed. The F350 isn't much more. But the SRWF350 doesn't have a payload increase that's worth the extra money in my book. I have the Tow package and Camper Package that gives the heavier front springs and 8800lb GVWR. If I were to order a new truck, I'd order the same as I have with the snow plow option and single 145amp alternator. Not that I plow snow, but I'd like the options that come with that package. Namely the higher output alternator, not duals, and the heavier front springs. I plan on mounting another 150lbs forward of the bumper in a winch and mount and step and lights and...
I paid about $7000 under MSRP, but I ordered mine so I saw the invoice and P.O.. Worked out to about $800 over invoice. Just be aware, when I bought mine ('03) there was no plow pkg option on a cc. If you installed a plow on a cc it will void the factory warranty. Most plow mfg's don't list an application for cc trucks. (At lease diesels, may be O.K. for gas jobs, not sure.) Something to check before you buy!
I payed $29,479.48 after rebates for an '04 F-250 XLT SC long bed, Toreador red/silver two tone, 6.0 diesel, camper package, tow package, 2WD, auto tranny. I am a hopin' and a prayin' that I don't have problems like some of these guys...cause I LOVE this truck...........peace, John
I shopped about 10 dealers around here (Alabama) and the best price I received on a truck with the same MSRP as your looking at was $38,600 plus tax which was about $2500 BELOW Ford directs "invoice" pricing but that was only on one particular truck on their lot. The pretty standard deal I was getting from most dealers was about $1500 below invoice.
Jack,
I'm just curious, did you really pay 10% MORE than MSRP for your truck or is that just a typo?
By the way, after my weeks of shopping new trucks (even already my financing arranged), I ended up stumbling across a really good deal on a low mileage '03 model which is what I bought. My point being, take your time and you won't regret it. Ford isn't running out of trucks.
Ok, according to my figures there is somewhere about $8000.00 over invoice included in the MSRP on a 2004 Lariat I priced a while back. How did you fellas that got the $11,000 off MSRP get the extra $3000.00? Rebates? I checked out the FTE member thread and the dealer in NY is offering $300.00 under invoice. I haven't check rebates yet, but I didn't think they were $3000.00. Esp. for the 6.0 Lariat. Also, I'm in GA so somebody tell me how to get the big $$ off. I going to go back and read the FTE thead more carefully in the mean time. I glanced at it real quick at work, and I thought I read that this dealer in NY would get whatever you wanted for under invoice and let you get the rebates, incentives and special financing! I've never heard of a deal like that before. Anybody?
2004 F350 FX4, 6.0, Auto, Lariet, Crew Cab, Metalic Rec with Arizona Beige Two Tone, 18" Wheels, (did not get electric sliding rear window, clerence lights, or sunroof). Came with Tubular Cab Steps, and Bed liner. I also had them put in a B&W turnover gooseneck ball and brake controller. MSRP was just under $49,000, I paid just under $38,000. I think that covers is. I love the truck, only a few minor issues, Freedom Ford in Pueblo CO is the place to go, Good Luck, Levi
