I know they are different in looks, but will an entire front clip from a 94 F-150 fit on a 91 Bronco? Are there any parts such as the tranny and rear end that will fit as well? We have an old 91 Bronco sitting around with no front clip and old 94 F-150 that has seen its days, but has many good parts left on it. Thinking about putting the 2 together for a play toy in the mud. I want to make sure I take all the parts off of it that will fit a Bronco before we haul it to the bone yard.
sure, everything from the firewall forward would be needed like rad support fenders grill hood etc.. drivetrain would work as well if 4x4 . if the truck isnt 4x4 then the motor would be all you want to swap over and rear axle to of course
Thanks Kemicalburns! I was positive it would work, but wasn't 100% sure. So the E4OD in a 2wheel is different than the E4OD in a 4x4? Thats a bummer, it was just recently overhauled, oh well I can always sell it I guess. What about the doors, they look the same to me also. I want to give the scrap yard little as possible.
As for Nugent's Bronco I'm not sure, never seen it up close, just in pics.
Doors should work. The only difference between the doors from the mid 80 to mid 90's is the mirrors, and some are actually exactly the same. And of course the interior panel, but for the most part i believe a few holes drilled for sheet metal screws and you can use either interior panel.
A few other things, rear bumper and maybe even the front?? not sure on this but the rims, door glass, rear tail lights, maybe rear fuel tank?? (smaller than the bronco's but should work) I would probably pull the power steering gearbox, linkages, pitman arm, but they probably won't match exactly. P/S pump will have different pully, no serpentine belt, but parts are always good!! Maybe even the windshield. You never know what you might need in the future from a good foolin around in the mud!! good luck to ya.
you can use the trany you just need to get the tail shaft changed. I belive it needs to be shortened. the rest of the front clip should just bolt on. the diferances are mostly cosmedic. The bronco is just a shortened wheel base f150. so from the doors forward they are the same. even some of the f250s will work too.
the rear bumper off the f150 will work, but you will have to use the brackets from the Bronco. I would think the trans would work if you change the tailshaft and possibly the output shaft.
