Does anybody know where I can find a 4wd suspension kit to replace my 2wd suspension. I know I havta replace a bunch of stuff. Can somebody please tell me what exactly I need. My engine is an inline 6.
best bet is go to a junkyard and pull everything off a 4x4 truck .. or better yet buy a wrecked 4x4 with good running gear and just transfer everything over
If your truck is a 1980-96 half ton, all the 4x4 front axle and suspension will bolt right up underneath your rig. The axle pivot mounts and radius arm mounts on your 4x2 are the same as a 4x4. You will need the adapter plate for the transfer case, the transfer case, front and rear driveshafts, the floor plate with the proper hole(s) for your shift lever(s), and a front diff with a matching ratio to your rear axle ratio. Also you will need the factory 2 inch blocks for the rear (4x4s sit up higher) or you'll be squatting in the back. Your inline six has plenty of power to be run in a 4x4. All these parts can be found on 1980-96 F150s and Broncos at your local bone yard. Good luck!
