F150 vs E150 parts interchangeability

Greetings
I have an 84 F150 and access to an 82 Van E150. How similar are the suspension componenets? Will the 2WD van front suspension bolt in to replace my wounded F150 4WD front suspension? Are the rear ends the same width and thus interchangeable? Will transmission cross members interchange? Any comments will be appreciated. Tom

I'd measure BOTH front I-beams, since when I tried that trick on an earlier model van I found that one side was shorter than the other.
Otherwise a tape measure should tell you all you want to know. BTW, when I cannibalise front suspensions I just Sawzall off the whole front frame section and cart it away to save time and keep all the hardware together. For those near Manning, SC, I usually have a couple such stubs around left over from making trailers out of dead Fords. Right now I have two 1980's and two 1970s 2WD front suspensions left over, but of course they weigh too much to ship.
This is a nice way to get parts from a salvage yard, if you mention it to them. Most will have enough engineless trucks with no front clip that getting a front "cut off" is easy for them.
