Same type of connector. I have a 97. My ipr plug is just behind the ac pump. About two inches toward the passenger side from the lifting eye. Just forward and to the drivers side off the fuel bowl.

Best I can tell you. It should be the only round connector with a three wire loom going to it.

cool, I will give it a try again but i sure didn't have much luck the first time around. can you do any damage if you connect the resistor to the wrong wires or will you simply restrict the amt. of fuel? because when i flip my switch that i put the 10K on it just runs guttless and lacks power, but runs fine when it is off.

Don't know... I'm still learning. Lots of good info on these sites. Does your Check engine light come on? It could be that you don't have a good connection somewhere.

It seems to me that if you don't get it hooked up right, you are causing the regulator to malfunction. I think that the 10k mod fools the computer into thinking that the pressure is too low, and the signal line into the regulator needs to be unobstructed, and the mod goes onto the return line to the computer. My best guess.

Hey, thanks for the replies.

Finially got it in there, didn't put it on a switch though for now. I just got back from testin it out. From the seat of the pants feel i think its added some extra kick. My boost guage shows it too, i got a max of about 23 pounds of boost, when before the max i usually saw was around 17-18 and never over 20 (with red wastegate line unplugged). It seemed like when you step on the throttle from idle, or back off the throttle competely it seems to be a little more jerky. Will test it for a couple days, see if its worth keepin, and if it changes my egts much.

I have the Diablo Predator and the 10k mod. I noticed a difference at low end. I have not been to the track to see any differrence in top end. It doesn't feel any different top end but tracks times would be the real answer.

wycowboy,

I've heard some say to put the wires into the back of the plug, but i pulled my plug out and put the wires into the female slots. Had to strip the wire ends about an inch back, and trim off some of the stands as my wire was too thick to allow the plug to slide in. Slid the wire into the two slots, then flattned the wires agianst the slide of the plug the best i could, also i ran the wires on different sides of the plug to make sure they would not touch, then i put a some electrical tape around the larger diamter area of the plug to help hold the wires. Mine went in kinda hard but then clicked into the plastic clip. Turned the key and had no warning lights so i went out onto the road with a heavy foot and tested it out!

Turbo,

Glad you got it working! Check into the reed switch on the IVC...stops the rough idle. Oh yeah... keep an eye on your mpg....your right foot may tend to get a little heavier!
