I placed a 289 into my 68 f100 i am going to use the same 3 on the tree transmission i put a 157 tooth flywheel off of a 66 289 ( same year mine is)

should this work with the bellhousing that is already in my truck because it seems to me that the starter is bottoming out in the bellhousing

I changed the bellhousing yesterday i am going to put a new starter in it today


can anyone give me some tips on this do i need a 164 or should the 157 fit
