How about a weekly chat hour?

I've been around for some time and every once in a while I check the chat room and I have never seen anyone else in there when I'm there.

I thought it might be nice if we could try a weekly chat hour. I realize everyone has different schedules, so lets see what happens.

PLEASE ONLY VOTE FOR YOUR FAVORITE DAY AND PICK EITHER EVENING OR MORNING.

The lost transcripts from the very first organized FTE Stocker Chat Night

BigWind- Hey everybody, I just found out there were only 17 Big Back Windows sold with red paint, green seats and Deluxe orange visors.

Glack- That’s cool

4 Speed- Really cool

BigWind- I think I found one in totally torched condition for only 8 grand

Glack- It’s worth it cause they’re so rare

4 Speed- Probably worth more, all BBW are worth at least 20 grand, no matter what condition.

Glack- Did you guys notice the repro shop manual has the wrong torque spec for the glove box ****.

BigWind- Repro sucks

4 Speed – Hey you guys, ‘fenders says BBWs look like an AMC Pacer. He better stop saying that.

BigWin- I think it’s cause you made fun of his Grant steering wheel.

Glack- I gotta go guys. I bought this NOS thermostat for $73 plus S/H and I think it’s a fake. Barry and Earl are gonna help me research it.

4speed- Me too, I gotta finish memorizing every VIN code sold in Ohio in 1957.

All- This was great, see you guys next week, big windows are so cool.

Fenders- guys I just bought my third new stereo
Dueler- better not be any of that sony crap
Earl- after doing some research dewayne, your cross over ohms are greater than the force x weight = to total output past the 4 remaining transfusers
Fenders- you guy’s think I should buy a alum or copper thermostat?
Earl- Copper is what they used originally
Axracer- my racecar has alum sheilded one, plus laws of elements state copper conducts heat better
Fenders- I don’t care about what any engineer’s say.
Dumptruker- hey I happen to be in the coolant engineering department
Kenny- glad to see us all in here
Fenders-please, please edit my last sentence!!!
Fenders- Were all friends!

This is a joke, not to be taken seriously!!!

Fenders, it is kind of scary how your chat is probably how it would end up.
There's only one condition under which I will chat, Janet40 has to be invited!! Just imagine the stories!! -4speed

You know I wouldn't miss it if you do it when I'm around. Not sure what subjects of common interest we can find, but it won't hurt to try.

And I just caught my first Janet post yesterday. You'll have to drop me a line when you got a highlight. I've heard she livens things up. But I don't know where she hangs out normally.

Kevin - Maybe people want to chat and don't have a preference as to when? Patience.

All - Who needs a chat room? Look at what's happened to this thread. Chatty Kathies.

I voted for Saturday night.

Fenders, I think your right on the glove box **** torque specs as mine is stripped, and the Tstat I havent gotten that far and I probably wont buy a nos one( but will be copper)

But Im still rolling on the floor, and I will second the Sony stuff for stereo gear as it isnt the best but not the worst and is decent priced(never owned any sony)

Its all in good fun, huron is going to look for a big window too and play his elton john really loud on his sony stereo with 4 transfusers
I think the Orange visors on the red truck are OEM and the green seat is an option on the 53-56 small windows standard on the big windows

Seriously though, if you get a half a dozen guys there you will be just fine. Think about it. When's the last time you got together in real life with 25 people and "chatted". It will quickly be 10 unique conversations. That's why everyone steps of three paces in small groups so it isn't so confusing. I for one wouldn't be the least bit offended if I found out 6 of you secretly meet for a weekly Big Window Revival or Torque Spec Hoedown every saturday. I have nothing real to add to that conversation.

Glack

My second stereo made the Sony sound like a transistor radio. Nevermind the third one. Nathan was right. He just gets hacked for his bluntness that day. That's the trouble with calling a spade a spade.

You boys be nice to Janet... she's one of our prized Texas sweethearts. She used to spread terror all over the Y-block board but has picked up something with a girly motor so she said she's going over there to learn.

She means no harm, she's just a colorful character. Not that we have any of those here on this board. colorfully, himmelberg
