OK, I'm new here so I'm not real sure about the WINDOW thing, all I really know is that until I removed the sideboard extensions on my F5 ( that had been on since J.C. was still a carpenter) I didn't realize my truck HAD a back window. Kind of nice and bright in the cab now.
Ed
You have nothing to be ashamed of with respect to your "window reference" ignorance. I have a 1956 Big Back Window. I've also been around this forum for quite a while. I can still only figure out about 5% of what just happened to this thread. Most of it apparently has to do with comments made in the distant, and not so distant, past on various 1948-1960 FTE forum threads. There are also some dubious examples of the potential "chat" that would appear in the proposed chat room. These examples apparently reflect the chat that various members of this forum would expect from other members.
I ain't never heard of Janet neither - but she sounds like the sort of gal that ... well ... never mind. I'm not allowed to hang out with any gals other than my wife. Now, where does she hang out?
Kevin,
I have viewed this thread a couple of times but have not, as yet, voted. This is because my world is a giant whirlwind of unexpected crises, surprises, and costly learning mistakes - mostly due to my three college-age kids and two-year-old grandson. The odds of me being available at any given time during the week on a week-to-week basis are not good. That does not mean, however, that I think the chat room thing is a bad idea. I'd certainly lurk when possible and maybe even get a sentence in edgewise.
'fenders hit on what happens when a big group gets together to chat - they end up in several smaller groups. This isn't a bad thing, just something to keep in mind.
Another problem I have is my brain. When my kids use Instant Messenger with me, I usually find myself composing and editing an answer to the question they asked four questions ago. Apparently my brain is running at 300 baud in a 56k baud world (for those of you old enough to remember the magical glacial speed of a 300 baud modem).
At any rate, I guess Saturday Night's all right for fighting - so it's probably all right for a chat room session.
Saterda wuld be ok fer me, ceptin i usally be takin my bath bout then but iffen My Sweat Pea wuld let me, id chat wif yall but buy the tim my fangers wuld get the tipin rite yall wuld be talkin bout sumpin else

Bubba at the speed of a slo snal (I red that summers els)
I haven't ever been in a chat room before. And...I was a virgin till I was...never mind.
When I checked out the "Live Chat" thingy at the top of the main screen (I assume that's where we'll meet?), it had a lot of options. I hate those.
Can anyone give the uninitiated of us a clue as to how to use the chat thingy? Which "channel" we use? What to turn on/off? Are beverages served? Or is figuring all that out the first test as to "belonging" in the chat room. I hate tests too. In fact, today, well....never mind that too.
Saturday sounds fine ( My wife lets me stay up late and play with others).
Maybe I can find out if my new plan will work. I'm thinking of breeding my 48 F5 with my 00 Ranger, I think the pup would be a 250 SuperDuty , anyone have any luck with this?
Ed in the lonley part of Ohio
I dont know if thats so wise Ed, kinda resembles breeding a toy poodle with a st. bernard....you may never be able to use your ranger again, and would probably have one heck of a mutt when ur done anyway.....i really dont believe anyones luck is good enough to get a nice purebred f25o superduty out of that kind of combination.....
like ive said, where theres a will, theres a way.....you might be able to make it work, i just hope u dont have to shoot the ranger when your done
I still have not been on this chat session....Am I still allowed on? I do not have a BIG window! I do have alot of trucks and parts, though. I do like to talk....and this might be cuttin' into my sex life.......will think on it!!!..........LOL...............Bill
It would be good if you can have a Saturday night one around 9:00pm, that means I can get to have chin wag with you Americans. It will be Sunday afternoon Sydney time. Is that too late for you guys to be up....lol
