rear end ID?
Alright guys. I have watched this sight for a long time. Watching and learning all I could about these trucks, but, I have a question that I cannot find the answer to. First, I have a 78 2wd F150 with a 13J rear axle code...this code does not exsist...at least as far as the published lists go. And I have a 79 4wd F150 with a H2A axle code...again does not exist. So what gives? I know for a fact that both of these trucks are 100% original. I know both of the original owners...who bought them new. So where can I find the info I need? Thanks for you reply in advance.

Well, I cant help with the codes, but im pretty sure both are ford 9inch rear ends,, you probably already new that though.
The 2wd gearing is 2.75:1 (or something like that)
and teh 4wd should be 3.50:1

Thanks alot guys. I have not been able to find either of those codes on any other site. Now I know which parts to start buying for these rebuilds. Of course, I will double check everything as I stat building. This is why this is the greatest site ever!!!
