hey yall i just had a question about tires. weve always ran buckshots on our smaller trucks and the older lighter trucks and would get ok milage out of them, but i have a 7.3 L diesel and was wondering what are the best, most cost effective 36-38" tires to run on one of these big heavy trucks. i can get TSL swampers for pretty cheap but i dont kno how many miles i will get out of them. if anyone has any advice or experience with aggressive offroad tires of this type. any help would b great, thanks
TSL's aren't going to last long at all. The PJ Dirt Grips and the new Nitto's MT's both look aggressive and have a pretty long life. I have SSR's right now in a 37 and I think I'll probably get a year and a half out of them, which for me is about 20k miles. PJ's are cheaper than the Nitto's I believe. Look to spend around $300 a tire (give or take $50) for both of those mfg's.
I have PJ dirt grips 36 X 14.5 X 16.5. They balanced easy and ride good for a large tire. I've only gotten about 3,500 mi on them so far but no sign of wear yet. They are fairly quiet on the road for an aggressive tread tire. I think I paid about 300.00 a tire for them. They are also Load range E tires and are suited well to the wieght of the psd and what you haul with it.
ok great, cause i have a set of tires i can run in the summer when im working, but i just need a good set of winter mud and snow tires so i can b read to play whenever i need to hehe.
