I have a set of BFG mud terrains on a 98 Jeep. 48k miles, still have about 1/3rd of the tread left. I got 46k miles on the OEM Goodyear all terrains, and the last 2k miles were scary. I rotate all 5 tires every 6k miles & keep them at 50 psi. It rides like a tank but I will get my $$ out of the tires. I have heard the MT/R's are great tires, but they are $30-50 more than the BFG's. The BFG's are surprisingly quiet for mud tires, also. Decent on ice, great in snow, just about unstoppable in mud.

Bfg's cost more than goodyear for 37's unless you already have 17" rims
I would get MTR's, for $800 thats as cheap as 37's get

All the reviews I read on the TSL's are that the sidewalls are bulletproof, they go square overnight in cold weather, and they wear fast on the street. Great tires if you off-road in rocks or over trees/branches, but you are lucky if you get 30k miles out of them. I like the price, though -- I can only get 31" on my Jeep because I don't have a lift yet. The TSL radials are about $40 less than the BFG's in 31's.
