Hi all, recently I got a 4.9 EFI engine from a yard to install on an old F150 1986, of course I'll need a lot of electricla job, but my question are:
How much could be an ECM computer for that engine from a yard?
How can I identify the proper computer for 4.9L manual tranny?
Is there any low cost aftermarket computer?, no emissions control...

Question 1: Try to buy the entire truck from the yard, once you ID that the trannies are similar. Beats going back hundreds of time for other parts. Part it out later and get some of your $$$ back.
Ok Thanks I look for on Ebay. I've hear about some electronic controller made in Australia and some other made in USA that are used on heavy modified EFI engines, maybe I can use one of those...
