Has anyone else had this problem? I bought this 86 F-250 last month and it had a small oil leak from the valve covers. well I fixed that and it started leaking out of the rear main seal so I pulled the motor and replaced that. When I put the motor back in I left out a itake bolt well everything was fine no leaks untill I found the bolt after I put it back in the rear main stated leaking again BAD it will blow out a quart of oil in a matter of a few minutes but it only blows out 1 quart the engine is the original 460 with 116000 miles on it.
You could be overfilling the crankcase.ID the dipstick.Drain oil and measure it.After it blows only one quart. And also make sure the rear intake gasket don't leak.(ford v-8 traint)And did you make sure the oil drain holes were clear?if you drop old rtv in side top of head it may cause pcv problems.
Thanks for the feed back. here is a list of things I have already done. draind the oil and refilled it 6 quarts with the new filter. new pan gasket, presure is 65 pounds at cold start up 25-30 after warm, changed pcv and checked line it is clear. so next is the new valley pan and check the heads.
