Please help, I installed Dynomax headers on my 68 F250 2wd w/390. The clutch lever (NP4spd) is hitting the collector not allowing the clutch to disengage completely. I can still shift but I can feel the clutch rubbing. Any suggestion on getting clearance?
Thanks, ray.
I had a 70' f100 360 std. with headers the clutch would hang up well the yoke would get hung up on the collector the simple but crude fix I used was get another clutch return spring hooked it thru the same hole as the exsisting clutch spring but I went up with this one and hooked it to the master cylinder put just enough tension to keep some upward tension on the yoke this worked for me for years never any problems hope this helps if this is the same thing yours is doing.
I had the same thing happened with my truck 390, except if was an exhaust pipe. I guess bending your header is out of the question ... Is it the square part at the very end that is hitting the header?
